Nicki Minaj bares her teeth on biting "Roman Reloaded"

Ask and you shall receive. Some Nicki Minaj fans have been openly griping about the Young Money femcee's recent pop turns on tracks like David Guetta's "Turn Me On" and her RedOne charttopper, "Starships." They worried that Minaj had permanently abandoned her hip hop roots in favor of playing the frilly pop fields with the likes of Taylor Swift. But nah, never that.

"So I laugh at hopefuls, Nicki pop? / Only thing that's pop is my endorsement op / F**k around I have to go and reinforce the block," Nicki snarls.

Lil' Wayne also makes a guest appearance but his presence is unneeded and a waste of space. He warbles something about "black girl p**sy" being purple and recycles that "f**k the world" line for the millionth time. Where's the refresh button on Lil' Tunechi lyrics?

Will this be enough to appease fans of "Old Nicki" who've threatened to jump ship?

Lil' Kim vs. Nicki Minaj: Kim fires more shots at Nicki on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live

The hip hop war of shade, verbal missiles and sassy comebacks between Lil' Kim and Nicki Minaj is still going on strong in its 3rd year.

Lil' Kim was booked on the drama-baiting Bravo show Watch What Happens Live and of course Nicki Minaj was brought up. When asked who Kim thought was the most overrated artist on the scene, she coyly answered, "Fire Marshall Bill," and proceeded to mock Nicki's trademark exaggerated rapping style.

Kim was also asked about her thoughts on Nicki's song "Stupid Hoe," which takes shots at Kim again for the millionth time, and she closed the book on that chapter by saying, "If you have to make a song called 'Stupid Hoe' you must be a stupid hoe."

Nicki Minaj flies away with club-friendly "Starships" single

After serving up the vexing and pot-stirring "Roman Holiday" at the Grammy awards, Nicki offers something that's a bit more pleasing to the mainstream palate with her RedOne-produced single, "Starships."

This song is pure ear candy; aural cotton candy meant for easy consumption and disposal. The song follows all the trends that pop music is wearing out right now: Big, earth-shattering dance breaks, lines about drinking and dancing all cares away and synths larger loud enough to shatter Gorilla Glass.

Expect to hear this one on the radio and in the clubs a lot. It's pretty much the sequel to Minaj's David Guetta collaboration "Where Dem Girls At," with a dirty dance break thrown in the mix to muck it up a little.

Madonna rocks the halftime show at the Super Bowl

Madonna may be one old dog, but she's definitely picked up plenty of new tricks.

The 53-year-old pop diva performed at the Super Bowl XLVI halftime show in Indianapolis in an eye-popping spectacle. The set opened with a Roman empire-style take on her hit "Vogue." She tutted her way through the number and then transitioned to her song "Music," which then segued into a megamix of LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem" which resulted in Madonna shuffling with the Gordy boys. Amazing.

Madonna then brought out her brown cheerleaders, Nicki Minaj and M.I.A., for a brief run through of her new single "Give Me All Your Luvin'," and M.I.A. might land everybody in a little hot water as she flipped the bird on camera during her verse. As Janet Jackson's nipplegate saga taught us, the FCC doesn't play when it comes to the Super Bowl.

For her final act, Madonna brought out an all-black choir and Cee Lo Green for a divine rendition of her hit song, "Like A Prayer." It was an all-around pop music touchdown. No complaints.

The Internet embraces Nicki Minaj's "Stupid Hoe"

After the success of Nicki Minaj's major pop crossover hit "Super Bass," some people might have thought the Queens MC had turned in her vitriol card. But then came "Stupid Hoe." With its spare handclap-looping, drum machine-as-an-uzi beat, the song recalls Old Nicki's mixtape days. Specifically, "Itty Bitty Piggy."

Unlike "Super Bass," "Stupid Hoe" isn't burning up the Billboard charts. It's sitting at #59 on the Billboard Hot 100 and now the video has been "banned" by BET. The last video BET bothered to ban was Ciara's "Ride," and we all know how the sad story of Basic Instinct went.

So that means Nicki Minaj and her fans should be in panic mode, right? Hardly. As we speak, the "Stupid Hoe" video has racked up over 22 million views on YouTube/VEVO in roughly two weeks. Which officially means the Internet loves it.

But the real measure of Internet success comes from the waves that a song/music video can create on YouTube. Beyonce's "Single Ladies" spawned countless YouTube performances and sky rocketed the Houston native and her Sasha Fierce album to the top. Following in "Single Ladies"' footsteps, Nicki Minaj's "Stupid Hoe" has already racked up a few viral winners of its own.

Nicki Minaj and David Guetta throw out half-baked android saga for "Turn Me On" video

The nicest thing that can be said about Nicki Minaj and David Guetta's "Turn Me On" video is that it started out nicely. The opening frames of David Guetta putting together a fembot is actually pretty damn well done. Nicki Minaj's autotuned voice goes perfectly with the overall mechanically inspired imagery and delivery of the song.

But things quickly go nowhere once Nicki actually steps into the picture.

Nicki Minaj laughs at the competition in "Stupid Hoe" video

In "Stupid Hoe," Nicki Minaj teams up with hip hop video legend Hype Williams for an eye-popping, technicolor, high budget, dress-up collage. The wigs and make-up change color frequently. There's Nicki in a pink wig, a black wig and a blonde wig. Oh, and there she is on all fours, throwin' it back like it was the night shift at Magic City. We've been here before with "Massive Attack," another Hype Williams and Nicki Minaj cartoon extravaganza.

And yet, this feels a little different. "Stupid Hoe" is by no means Nicki's best work, but the overall product has more intrigue than "Massive Attack" did.
