Nicki Minaj falls for that street love in the "Right By My Side" video

Ever the calculating businesswoman, Nicki Minaj took a relatively low-budget video and managed to spin it into a must-see video. How? By placing her two soft lips on hip-hop legend and recently divorced rapper Nas.

The romance angle with Drake worked for a little bit, but that one at least made some sense, since they had the Young Money connection between them. But Nas and Nicki? By smooching and cuddling with Nicki, Nas is lending the Nickster some of his street cred, which has taken a hit since Nicki began producing dance-pop anthems like "Turn Me On" and "Starships."

And the deal is mutually beneficial, as it provides Nas with some much needed PR and star power for his upcoming album, Life Is Good, which has seen little buzz. The only problem with this genius pairing? Chris Brown has to tag along.

Nicki Minaj is the alien princess in "Starships" video

From a galaxy far, far, away comes the green-haired alien with an ass the size of Jupiter and an intergalactic rack that puts the moon to shame. Her arrival is met with with worship, as the natives of Hawaii take their alien-bootied goddess into the volcano for a hot lava, glitter-steamed rave. The end.

That's the rough and quick summary of the "plot" for Nicki Minaj's "Starships" video. It's really just an excuse for Nicki to writhe around in the sand in a two-piece, wear funny wigs and fist pump while she clings to her flimsy fringe top. And there ain't nothing wrong with that.

This is the best commercial for Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded yet

Nicki Minaj brings out the freak-a-leeks for "Beez In The Trap" video

Leave it to Nicki Minaj to bring back the fat-bootied glory days of BET Uncut. In the explicit version of her street single "Beez In The Trap," Nicki puts her spin on The Player's Club as she commands a cabal of big booty b**ches, as she likes to say, for a wild night out.

The video is directed by Benny Boom, who pretty much does a Hype Williams video better than Hype Williams has been doing as of late. Nicki also pretty much managed to put out the sequel to Nelly's "Tip Drill" video, which he said was hard at work on with T.I. Oh well.

Snippets reveal Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded to be a bit of an Arnold Palmer

Half-pop and half-hip-hop, you might want to call Nicki Minaj's sophomore album I Am...Roman Zolanski. That's because like Beyonce's half-soft rock and half-urban pop'n'b album I Am...Sasha Fierce, Nicki is trying to serve two masters with one album.

The first half of Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded is a love letter to Old Nicki fans. It's all hip-hop with a bevy of impressive rap all-stars on the roster, including features from Nas, Cam'Ron, Lil' Wayne and 2 Chainz. Here, the beats hit hard and the trash talk hits even harder. Washed up female rappers and nay sayers are often on the receiving end of jabs from Nicki, as heard on "I Am Your Leader."

"When I fly it's one letter and one number / You wack hos could get hot for one summer / After that the queen will still reign here / I'm Santa Claus to these hos without a reindeer," Nicki spits.

The other half of the album flies off to Saturn for what is really just one big ol' slice of space pop. It starts off with "Starships" and runs amok until "Stupid Hoe," which is oddly tacked on at the end of the standard album. Maybe Nicki wasn't so proud of that one? At least it made the cut, unlike "Roman In Moscow," which is nowhere to be found here.

The Lil' Kim vs. Nicki Minaj wars have been violent and brutal, at times. But it appears that Kim is calling a ceasefire for now.

During a recent appearance on BET's 106 & Park, Kim dodged and refused to address any questions about the game's hottest femcee, Nicki Minaj.

“At the end of the day, this is about Kim right now. We gave you that movie already, you know what I’m sayin’. We movin’ on to a whole ‘nother direction and if it come back that way, then we give ya’ll another movie. But right now we moving into another direction. ‘Bout to drop some new singles for Queen Bee and Brooklyn,” said Kim.

Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded album cover is a rainbow brite massacre

There's one phrase that sums up Nicki Minaj's new album cover for Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded best: Doing too much.

Looking like a Crayola suicide bomber, Nicki Minaj's face is digitally splattered with paint, as is the background and the album title. The fonts are a rainbow assault on the eyes, resulting in a complete sensory overload. Even Mariah Carey would say, "Damn. This is too girly even for me."

And we thought the first Pink Friday album cover was weird. The single cover for "Roman Reloaded" would've been preferable to this kindergarten fingerpaint job on steroids. But oh well, can't judge an album by its cover, can you?

Nicki Minaj brings her intergalactic charm to the NBA All-Star Game

3 wigs, 1 performance. Nicki Minaj packed a whole lot into her opening performance at the NBA All-Star Game in Orlando, Florida. Performing a medley of her hits — "Moment 4 Life," "Turn Me On," "Starships" and "Super Bass" — Nicki rocked the party.

The rapper and aspiring singer had energy for days, as she excitedly fist-pumped throughout her set. But her dancing (she likes to body roll a lot), was stiffer than Lil' Kim's upper lip at times, and her singing...well, no one ever accused Nicki Minaj of being the next Whitney Houston anyway.

The highlight was "Starships," which saw Nicki don an apropos Martian-green wig. Seeing it performed live helps translate the power and energy of the RedOne production. Now she just needs to figure out some better choreography during the monster dance breaks.
