Madonna has been around the pop block more than once. At her ripe age of 53 and with all that she's achieved in her 20-plus-year career, Madonna supporters have been crowing about how the pop queen has 'nothing to prove' in response to the steep drop her new album MDNA experienced in its second week.
After saying she didn't need to do any press to promote her new album, Madonna appears to have changed her mind, as she sat down for NBC's Rock Center to talk about her career, being a mother and life as a celebrity.
In the interview she conceded to the interviewer that while she may have been there and done that with many things in music, she's still keen on speaking through her art.
"I don't know about 'left to prove,' but I still have stuff to say," Madonna said.
Stuff like what? This insightful gem from "Gimme All Your Luvin'": "You have all the L-U-V / I gave you everything you need." Or these throbbing lines from the senior citizen freaknik known as "Girl Gone Wild": "It's so erotic / This feeling can't be beat / It's coursing through my whole body / Feel the heat"?
Pretty sure Lindsay Lohan or Selena Gomez could cover this territory for us but ok, Madonna. If you insist.
