There's something funny about Kat Graham

Kat Graham is best known for her role in The Vampire Diaries but she's also been toiling away tirelessly at building a legitimate music career. Perez Hilton has been tooting her horn for the past few years, and finally, the wheels look like they're in motion with her single "Put Your Graffiti On Me."

Now, all she has to do is conquer the hearts and minds of enough folks so that she can fit in between the Navy, Katykats and Little Monsters. Graham made her national television debut this week with a performance on Ellen and it was a head-scratcher on several fronts.

First, the girl scout uniforms. The song is like a Pussycat Doll version of Rihanna's "Birthday Cake." It's about a man leaving his "mark" on her, which....we'll keep it PG and leave it at that. So throwing that in with some girl scout uniforms and clumsily prattling about a girl scout troop accepting everyone (*wink* *nudge* gay rights, y'all) is really awkward.

More importantly, however, are the very strange sounds coming from Kat's throat. During the verses of her performance, Graham sounds as though Grover from Sesame Street has possessed her larynx. She actually looks pained too as she pushes out her constipated notes. And we thought Britney had some strange vocal tics. Who told her those seal grunts and burps were appealing to listen to? The bridge was the worst part.

But hey, at least those moves are sick. And the song is the hottest thing Nicole Scherzinger never recorded. So there's that.

Jamaica's Best Dance Crew: Shady Squad takes on Rihanna's "Where Have You Been"

Welcome back to your regularly scheduled programming after that glorious three-day holiday weekend, y'all.

As Rihanna and Nicki Minaj have proven, there's plenty of undiscovered talent to be found in the Caribbean. Let's go ahead and add Shady Squad, a Jamaican dance troupe, to that list.

The three, tall, skinny gangly young men took on Rihanna's "Where Have You Been" in a viral video and they poured so much swagu on it that we're swimming in it. If Rihanna doesn't hire these dudes for an awards show performance or a tour, she's mad. Bombaclot!

G.O.O.D. Music vs YMCMB: The hip-hop beef with no name

In a time where some of the largest artists at the forefront of hip-hop aren't "gangsta," there has curiously been a revival in hip-hop "beef" recently. This is not necessarily the "beef" that we are all used to. Unlike Tupac's shots, which explicitly named his targets, today's beef is all about veiled subliminals that don't call out its targets by name.

Pusha-T launched a missile when he released "Exodus 23:1" featuring The-Dream, which carried these contentious references, which many took as shots at Drake.

"Contract all fucked up / I guess that means you all f--ked up / You signed to one n----, that's signed to another n----, that's signed to three n----s."

"Now that's bad luck / Damn that sh-t even the odds now / You better off selling this hard now / You call it living out your dreams / You can't fly without your wings."

Apparently Lil' Wayne, Young Money's head honcho, felt a certain way about Pusha T's words in the new song although neither his name or Drake's was ever exclusively mentioned.

Blazing hot Idol judge Jennifer Lopez took the stage during the American Idol finale to debut her new single "Going In" and perform her caliente collaboration with Wisin y Yandel, "Follow the Leader."

The dancers were on point and Jennifer had no problem dropping it low and backing that thing up. Have you even seen a mother of two move it like this?

Once again, if this is a taste of what J.Lo has in store for her tour, you better scoop up your tickets fast.

Rihanna puts it down with a dazzling spectacle on American Idol

Not much to say here other than Rihanna killed it with her performance of "Where Have You Been" on American Idol. There were minor points here and there that could've been improved upon and as always seems to be the case with her, there were parts where the energy dropped off. But she really delivered on the overall look and concept.

The Predator dreads are bad-ass too. Rasta RiRi's gonna get chu.
