How is it that a group with 5 dudes already stuffed into it needs TWO guest features, Diddy and Yung Joc, on one song? Whoever said pimpin' ain't easy wasn't lying, but I have to imagine that Day26 would argue that being whored out isn't a cakewalk either.
Diddy being on the song is expected. He uses anything that crosses his path as a platform for himself but why do we to suffer through Yung Joc, Young Jeezy's less interesting sound-a-like, on the track as well? And for a song about "putting it on her" this song and video is quite the awful sausagefest. Diddy should've thrown Cassie on this joint.
The video is a MIAMI!!!! video with the guys on the beach standing next to girls in front of metallic fabric waving in the wind. Oh, then they show shots of them in the club and that's it. I guess Bad Boy didn't want to bother with wasting a video concept on Day26 this go round. Watch the video.
A few things to note:
1) Willie gets an awful lot of camera time and of course DIddy makes sure that Willie's abs also get camera time too. Guess who's being packaged as the heartthrob of the group? Here's a hint: It ain't Big MIke.
2) They aren't dancing in this video. I guess they think they look "tougher" if they don't do choreography. Then why the hell do they spend so much time with Laurie Ann Gibson in the dance studio on the show and why is Que throwing hissy fits about his dance lessons?
3) Big Mike and Robert need to lose some weight. I'm saying, if you're trying to sell a group of young heartthrobs the pleasantly plump duo are throwing a giant monkey wrench into that plan. I hope Big Mike actually gets a verse on the next Day26 single too. He's been silenced like the back-up dancers in the Pussycat Dolls.
4) The crowded video does nothing to solidify the identity of Day26 as a group. If anything it makes them look like 5 random R&B dudes thrown together for a Gap commercial. With Diddy and Joc thrown in the mix it was hard to tell who was in the group and who was just hanging out.
